THE CEMETERY END
25 Years of Lost Grounds & Stands
To mark the magazine’s 100th edition, a brand new Groundtastic book is being published. Called The Cemetery End, the book is a pictorial collection of grounds and stands that have disappeared from the British footballing landscape in the last quarter of a century. Running to well over 200 pages, and in A4 landscape format, the book will be ready for delivery to buyers during April 2020. Advance orders are now being taken (see below).
Organised in a year-by-year format, more than 350 grounds and stands are featured, ranging from Wembley Stadium to Axminster Town’s Sector Lane ground. Each ground and stand is accompanied by a short description highlighting the history of the structure, and how and when it met its end.
Eighteen months in the making, The Cemetery End is the only place where the lost grounds stands of the last 25 years can be viewed in one place; it promises to be a seminal work. There will be a limited print run, so if you would like a copy, please order now.
The book costs £20, plus P&P (see below).
The cost of postage depends on the buyer’s location.
For UK - add £3.50;
For Europe - add £10;
For Outside Europe - add £15.
It can be ordered by sending a cheque (made payable to Groundtastic) for the correct amount, to our usual address or online by clicking on the PayPal link below.
